VACATION: Resisting the Urge with Mental Stimulation

Mental stimulation is a surefire way to resist the Zombie contagions. This summer's end, I made a trip to Palawan,  Phillippines. It was a trip to remember. It also proved to me that I had been in danger of the mindlessness that is the Zombie plague. Much of our world does not take the time to travel and enjoy nature. I am indeed blessed. Upon arriving in Manila,  I met my tour guide whom we will call Gusto.  He was a young man from Davao City.  Phillippines.  He had offered his services to be sure I would be safe, among other things. He was an excellent travel companion. We spent our first night at BSA Mansion Condotel in Manila. It was an adequate accommodation. On a 1-10, I would give it a 5. Overpriced yet,  it was spacious enough. The next morning, we flew to Coron City. Upon approach,  I knew we were going to enjoy the seclusion. The plane turned and dove deep between a series of mountain cliffs and landed in a small valley. With mountains to both sides,  the Sea behind us and another clusters of mountains before us,  I prayed for good brakes. The landing strip was about 600 feet more than we needed to land safely. The people at Coron Airport were very friendly. Shortly,  we were in a tiny van and rushing past motorcycles,  pedestrians and cows on the road. I was thankful the cows were not on the landing strip. Lol. We stayed at KokosNuss Garden Resort. Our time there was delightful.  The property is a work in progress. Our room was their nicest room. And although small,  everything about the place was delightful. Their restaurant was a covered set of picnic tables. The food was EXTREMELY delicious. The people were delightful. We took a city tour,  and island hopping while at Coron. The city sat in a bay of the Phillippine Sea. The view was breathtaking. The city itself made me appreciate the prosperity in which we Americans bask.I learned that thousands of families still live in small bamboo and thatch houses. Most people walked or rode bikes or motorcycles. Very few places had sidewalks. Most homes and businesses had dirt paths. The roads were thin and in need of repair in most places.  Still,  the place was beautiful. Indeed,  Coron was a perfect choice to begin a vacation. We stayed 4 nights. The island hopping tour introduced both of us to snorkeling.  We loved it. Despite neither of us being good swimmers,  we couldn't wait to go again. Next stop was Puerto Princesa. We stayed at Deep Forest Garden Inn. A fabulous mid sized Resort in the City side streets. This place was fantastic. Huge rooms, wood carvings,  a nice pool,  cold water Jacuzzi,  water chess and statuary were everywhere. Staff was a ten. Food was upscale. The prices were very reasonable. They had a fish pond with benches all around the edges where 100s of fish swam in the artificial current. We went island hopping in Honda Bay,  took a city tour,  and had options to many other packages. One could easily spend two weeks there and not become bored. On our Honda Bay tour,  we got stuck on an island because of a storm caused by the ongoing Typhoon in the area. The waves swelled to about 8 feet tall. Once the waves got to 3-4 feet,  we went snorkeling again. We watched as the underwater plant life and sea creatures were tossed about by the waves. The best part of this trip though was snorkeling while holding my guides hand.  Oh!  Did I forget to mention we were dating?  My bad!  Lol. After 3 quick nights,  we travelled back to Manila. This time,  we stayed at Victoria Court Cuneta. The rooms were small,  two storied,  and nicely decorated. The lower bath had a swivel based TV which could face the Jacuzzi or the small living room. The bed was quite comfortable. Their restaurant was only as room service. The food was very good. The staff seemed less friendly,  but never rude. While spending these last 2 nights together,  we walked to the Mall of Asia and around that portion of Manila. It is a busy city,  no doubt. The worst thing about the whole trip was... saying goodbye. I felt refreshed mentally, despite the 24.5 hour trip there and the 28.5 hour trip back on the plane. Delta Airlines has a fabulous staff and excellent food,  by the way. You should try them sometime soon. Til next time....  *LASIRANON*

a suggestion to fix the immigrant issue

Today, I would like to THINK about the topic of ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS and how to sensibly fix this issue. First, determine how important this topic is. To many, it is of utmost importance. To me, it makes sense that if you are enjoying the privileges of our country, you should chose to BE part of the society. Secondly, how to decide if everyone should be deported. To me, there is NO doubt that that would be far more expensive to do than to simply welcome our new people into citizenship. In the age of the internet, this should be a simple fix. Set up a database at the immigration offices and mandate all noncitizens register for citizenship with an offer of completely no chance for immediate deportation, with an exception for violent criminals or terrorist ties. At the end of the hour long process, a document is printed which states that this person is enrolled to become a citizen. With this document, new applicants can sign up to have taxes taken from their checks each pay period here forward. Any employer that refuses to comply can be reported by the new applicant for a $5000 bounty for employers who still insist on nonconformity, hence solving the employer end. Said employer can then either choose to repay the $5000 fine plus a $2500 handling fee or be entered into a hard labor camp for a period of one year and be ineligible to own a business in the USA for a period of not less than 25 years. Nonconformity will also be a felony offense. After one year of paying taxes faithfully the new applicant will receive full citizenship. This should also become a new norm for legal immigrant paperwork to clear. A year is plenty long enough to wait for citizenship in this day and age. To promote border safety and control, we should station military, national guard and border patrol agents on all borders and release a press release stating that crossing any USA border without proper documentation and clearance at a check point is considered a financial form of terrorism punishable by immediate death. With the new system in process and functional, entry requests should be nearly immediate. The cost for this paperwork should be inexpensive and include background screening and fingerprinting /DNA sampling mandatory upon entry. Any THINKING PERSON should see this doable and easy to setup. Anyone caught inside our borders without being in the national database should be considered at best a shady individual and arrested on contact, with steep fines and civil penalties, and deportation on first offense. If caught here again, the penalty is death. Trial in 3 days, sentencing within 24 hours. Execution explained and televised. WELL, I would love to hear your thoughts. Comments always welcome. I love immigration and I am sorry we are not fixing the problems in our society. I hope someone in authority reads this and resists the Zombie contagions plaguing Washington DC. Thanks for your time. *LASIRANON*

Thanksgiving Zombies?

HELLO TO ALL THE ZOMBIE RESISTANCE LEAGUERS ACROSS THE UNIVERSE TODAY. IN AMERICA TODAY, ZOMBIES ARE GATHERING TOGETHER TO TAKE A BITE OUT OF OUR TURKEY POPULATION. WHEN ASKED WHY, THEY SIMPLY MUTTER SOMETHING ABOUT BEING THANKFUL AND THEN CONTINUE THEIR HUNT FOR VARIOUS FOODS TO FILL THE HUNGER, OR GLUTTONY WITHIN. IT IS BEING CALLED A THANKSGIVING DAY FEAST. I WONDER HOW MANY ACTUALLY REMEMBER THE REASON FOR THIS CELEBRATION. THE YEAR WAS 1863, when, during the Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national day of "Thanksgiving and Praise to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens", to be celebrated on Thursday, November 26 AS A NATIONAL AND ANNUAL HOLIDAY. OUR NATION WAS AT WAR. WE WERE A NATION DIVIDED.. FAMILIES WERE OFTEN FOUND FIGHTING AGAINST ONE ANOTHER BASED ON REGION, RELIGIOUS BELIEF, SOCIAL ISSUES SUCH AS SLAVERY, OR PROPERTY RIGHTS. IT WAS GOING BE OUR BLOODIEST WAR TO DATE. 625,000 PLUS AMERICAN CITIZENS WERE SLAUGHTERED BY THEIR FELLOW COUNTRYMEN. THE PRESIDENT HAD CALLED FOR A CEASING TO THE FIGHTING AND FOR US TO GIVE A MOMENT OF THOUGHT TO THOSE THINGS WHICH WE HOLD DEAR. IT IS SAID THAT GUNS WERE LAID ASIDE AND FEASTS WERE THROWN ACROSS THE NATION. A MOMENT OF RESTFULNESS IN THE MIDST OF WAR WAS FELT BY MANY. FUNNY THING IS, HERE WE ARE, THREATENING TO FIGHT A SIMILAR BATTLE IN AMERICA, 149 YEARS LATER. FELLOW RESISTERS... TAKE TIME TO BE SURE TO THINK. DON'T BECOME INFECTED BY THE WAVE OF ZOMBIE CONTAGIONS. POINT 1: SECESSIONISTS. THE THOUGHT THAT PROVOKED THE CIVIL WAR ERA. WHY? WHY NOW? IS IT NOT TREASON TO TRY TO OVERTHROW ONE'S OWN GOVERNMENT? POINT 2: SLAVERY (IMMIGRATION REFORM IN A MIRROR). THERE IS A MOVEMENT TO OUST ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS FROM OUR BORDERS. THERE IS A THOUGHT THAT PAY NEED EQUALLED FOR ALL. THERE IS A PUSH TO ALLOW THESE INDIVIDUALS TO STAY. THERE IS A HATRED BEING STIRRED UP BY THE ZOMBIES WHO FOLLOW CONSERVATIVE THOUGHT. THINK. DON'T FALL VICTIM TO THE PLAGUE. POINT 3: RELIGION. THERE IS A MOVEMENT TO PUSH FOR A THEISTIC STATE. THERE IS A MENTION OF BANNING RELIGIOUS GATHERINGS. THERE IS A PERVERSION OF A PRACTICE OF SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE. Enjoy the day. Stay tuned for further discussion on these and other issues. Most importantly, don't fall for the dribble. Stay alive. Resist the plague of Zombie infection. And have a great Thanksgiving. Celebrate your blessings. Be blessed! *LASIRANON*
